ACPA has Announced their Newest Advisory Board Member
April 22, 2021 The American College of Physician Advisors has announced their newest Advisory Board Member: Neil Parikh MD, MPH, MSM, CCDS, CPE. Dr. Parikh is the Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) of CommonSpirit Health's Greater Sacramento market. In this role, Dr. Parikh provides clinical and operational leadership to Physician Advisors supporting the 6 acute-care facilities within the Northern California Division. “We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Parikh to ACPA’s Advisory Board” said Jessica Gustafson, Esq. “With his combined experience in information technology and utilization management, Dr. Parikh has innovated and progressed the physician advisor role in his organization. His experience and thought leadership will be of tremendous value to the Advisory Board as we continue our efforts to support the physician advisor profession.” Dr. Parikh graduated from Saint George’s School of Medicine and completed his residency training in internal medicine at Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center, affiliated with New York Medical College. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Obesity Medicine, and within Healthcare Quality & Management, subspecializing in Physician Advisory. Dr. Parikh also holds graduate degrees in Management, as well as one in Public Health. More recently, he has been granted the Chief Physician Executive designation by the American Association of Physician Leadership.
