New ACPA TLC Modules Have Launched!
The Learning Center (TLC), created by the American College of Physician Advisors, now includes new, AMA PRA Category 1 CME credit material added to our original modules which have been updated where needed. All are arranged by content whereas before they were arranged by release date. This means there are now four, focus-specific Module Sets.
We hope this addition of new material and new method of organization makes it simpler and more effective to learn what you want, when you want.
Module Sets
- ACPA Certification (ACPA-C) – Topics foundational to excelling in the role of physician advisor. Those who pass the exam and become ACPA-Certified (ACPA-C) can be confident they possess the requisite knowledge to perform the duties of a physician advisor in any setting. Click here to start ACPA-C
- Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) – Basics of CDI and specific diagnoses frequently targeted by CDI efforts such as malnutrition, acute respiratory failure, and sepsis.
- Utilization/Case Management – Basics of level-of-care determinations as well as basics of Fee-for-Service Medicare including Medicare notices, the Medicare Two-Midnight Rule, and Condition Code 44 as well as topics involving Medicare Advantage plans.
- Revenue Cycle – Focuses on the denials and appeals portion of the hospital revenue cycle. Includes modules specific to Medicare, commercial payers, the peer-to-peer process, and clinical validation denials and appeals.
- The Physician Advisor Role – Physician advisor program optimization and expansion including how to incorporate the role of physician advisor in clinical validation and the care of pediatric populations. This bundle also focuses on high-performing physician advisor programs and integrating innovation.
